Sending Sunshine Your Way

Well, I’m sure you’ve heard the news, but SNOW has decided to stop for a visit. Thinking of everyone who has to venture out and make their way to work, school, or the grocery store.

Though snow came seem to be a burden (in some ways it is) I’m choosing to see the “sunshine” in this season and chase the winter blues away. Here are a three ways I’ve seen the vibrant sun in this cold wintery weather!

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

With a lot of snow comes a lot of snow plow delays. That means a lot of people’s cars have been getting stuck in the snow when they drive. I’ve seen a lot of neighbors coming together to help people who are stuck. Even, our family has had to help dig out a lot of cars and even a plow that got stuck. People help shovel elderly people’s driveways or even neighbors who can’t do it themselves. THERE’S A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!! Remember that!

The Sunrise & Sunsets Have Been Exceptional

When the skies are grey and the snow is constantly falling, its hard to have hope. When the sun doesn’t shine I feel down. But when the snow stops……among the white snow is the sun glistening through! The skies are painted with pinks and blues while the golden sun shines.

People Need People

In the winter, people start to crave friendship, community, and family. They are the sunshine in the dull time. I love connecting with my friends and going to see a movie or having a Valentine’s Tea Party with my little cousins. These marvelous people get your through the winter. They become your sunshine!

I hope you find your “sun” this month!!

With love,

Rebecca Lauren
